Marvel Zombies
Team » Marvel Zombies appears in 122 issues.
The heroes and villains of Earth-2149 who were tragically turned into zombies. They have all but destroyed their own reality.
Who'd be immune to Marvel's zombie plague?
" nope gods, eternals, heralds of galactus, the best healing factors all fell no-one has a chance "
Shouldn't Sabretooth and Wolverine? If its a virus that ends up turning you into a Zombie, shouldn't their healing factor kill the virus and thus keep them from changing?

nope
" Mr. Immortal? "i dont think so
cos i dont think he existed in the zombie universes(they crossed a few)@Gambler said:

" @Gambler: I don't know if it was ever really explained why....I know that Zombie Spider-man used an unzombified alternate reality Wolverine's dna and combined it with nanites and Sandman to finally destroy the virus "Interesting. I never read the series.

problem in defining who "shouldnt have" is there was never a clear definition to the nature of the plague itself,
nor origin. alls thats known is even Uatu couldnt really make it end, and believed if not contained it would
wipe out every reality, so he locked it in a time loop.

@King Quisling:
yep. i think it lured him there with the hopes the MZ's would take him out.
cant remember that much. all i know is its been defined as possible magical,
cosmic, and viral. noted where that it adapts to infect its hosts, and may be sentient.
the answer to the question is rhetorical though. no one was immune, therefore no one
would have been.
616 juggernaut would be immune cause of his sheild in MZ only the parts actually covered by his armor were invulnerable
"Shouldn't Sabretooth and Wolverine? If its a virus that ends up turning you into a Zombie, shouldn't their healing factor kill the virus and thus keep them from changing? "
If a healing prevents the zombification (is that a real word) of characters, then Merc With A Mouth would be a very different series ;)
Since even magical beings and androids seem to be able to be infected Mr. Immortal is pretty much the only one i can think of that could be sort of immune at this point since he basically respawns after being killed.
In other words he would be able to get infected, but it would mean that he's deceased, thus respawning in perfect condition.
" @John Valentine: Wither too? The zombies would dissolve if they touched him ;) "
Possibly. Can the virus be transmitted via fluid/flesh ingestion (or is it even airborne?) or is it just by biting etc?
" @John Valentine: I assumed it was just biting. "
Which would mean transmission through bodily fluid. Spitting, maybe :P?
Would the virus pass into his blood stream before Wither destroys his attacker? Moreover, would his body automatically eradicate the virus? Interesting.
at this point two now have.
Man-Thing and Sandman.
May likely be that someone with a dispersed body cant have the rest of their body infected
which would make sense because their cells arent physically interconnected so theirs no path for a virus to travel
through. I wonder if Sandman could actually even get the flu?
Man-Things could be attributed to the fact that he's a quasi-mystical entity
tied to the Nexus Of All Realities (which when i think of that, it was sort of an error in that story as they
had him lose his powers by not being on Earth, though its never happened whenever else he's left the
planet nor reality, not even in Hell).
its likely then a character like Dust would be immune, since she doesnt have a solid body
for the virus to travel through. also machines were obviously immune.
"What is it with Marvel and names that would work for porn stars?
"
Going back to a list of "immunies", wouldn't robots be immune?
Vision
Awesome Android
Ultron
Jacosta
Amazo
The Metal Men
Red Tornado
Sandman was how they defeated the Zombies in the first place" @CATMANEXE: if i remember correct sandman was a zombie "
in Marvel Zombies Return,as he couldnt be infected. he was the last standing next to Watcher, who
told Flint he could not be turned either because he was made of corporeal energy.
Peter of course wasnt dead, yet...
All of the Marvel Zombie stuff was way better when Robert Kirkman wasn't writing it anymore, which is ironically very surprising because of his "Walking Dead" series. Infact the reason Watcher wasn't infected is the same reason Silver Surfer and Galactus shouldn't had been eaten/infected." @ironshadow said:

I'll admit though that Mark Miller kinda screwed it up to begin with, in a way. He didn't "flesh" out the zombie virus, it was like "they're zombies, just roll with it." But then again he probably didn't expect the zombiverse to ever be seen again. I still blame Robert Kirkman for the travesty of the zombies eating Silver Surfer and Galactus and becoming cosmic zombies, but I wonder what "Marvel Zombies" would had been like if Robert Kirkman started it from the beginning of the outbreak his own way? Or one of the other writers from Marvel Zombies 3, 4, or Marvel Zombies Return?
it makes sense for Galactus, since he is actually some kind of energy form, but Surfer isnt (still kind of weird that theyre teeth could chew him though, he also isnt supposed to be flesh anywhere in his body). then again its an alternate reality so they can pull the " not the same as the 616 version " card and say it works. i dunno.
true enough its hard to even rate MZ to anyone because the volumes are so different. Man-Thing wasnt infected either (mystical), and the LOM managed to make a sort of working vaccine. comics i guess, try and figure out the logic sometimes, especially between different writers and your head splode.
BTW: did you happen to get to read the Zombies/Apes cross-over?
