Continuing from the previous issue, The Dazzler managed to save our web hero before Thermo sapped him of all his body heat. With Paladin joining in on the action, Thermo made a desperate escape from the increasing threat.
Later, Thermo found a phony cult and took control of its members using his powers, proclaiming himself as a god. After a day's rest at The Dazzler's apartment, Spider-Man recovered partially, but The Dazzler and Thermo's wife were later kidnapped by Thermo himself.
But soon, Spider-Man - along with Paladin - confronted Thermo and his controlled cultists. With Spider-Man's newly modified nullifier at hand, the web-slinger defeated Thermo by putting it on his head. With Christine Michaels getting her husband back, and The Dazzler seeking comfort from Spider-Man, Paladin walked away from the scene, secretly wishing he had someone by his side as well.
