    Super Hero Squad #6

    Synopsis

I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised after reading this issue. I definitely got the feeling that this was geared more toward the pre-teen demographic but what can I say for shopping in the "All Ages" section?

    The Good

I enjoyed all the slap-stick humor in the issue and the done-in-one format of the book. All throughout reading it I found myself wanting to mimic the voices of the characters as portrayed on the television show--especially MODOK's.

I do find it strange, however, that Ka-Zar found his way to the cover when he is only on around two pages of the book. Ok, I lied here, he really is in more than just a few panels. Nevertheless, average story/plot and art met expectations.

    The Bad

Ka-Zar. Sorry, but who is Ka-Zar? I'm not up to par on some of these B, C, and D-list Marvel characters. When walking by this issue at the LCS I, at first, thought he was Tarzan. Then thought maybe he was Komandi but realized that was a DC character. I didn't realize who he was until I got to the interiors...

    Verdict (3.5/5)

Art is what was expected, average plot, and introduction to this volume of comics all added to it's slighty higher than average score. I liked this issue. I'll add this to my pull list.
