FROM THE LONGBOX : MARVEL SPOTLIGHT #9

The book picks up right where issue #8 ended, with Ghost Rider falling off of a cliff. As he falls the reader is reminded of who did this to him, and what led to the situation. For what it is worth it is one of the best story summaries of the series so far.

The next scene has Roxxie back at the rodeo looking for Johnny Blaze, but this serves only to pair her with Sam Silvercloud the indian guy who pulled a gun on Johnny Blaze last issue. What happens is almost the same scene from issue # 8.

What confuses me is that Satan appears to Johnny Blaze and tells him that until Satan himself kills Blaze, he will be kept alive no matter the injury. This is in direct contrast of what we have been told before that Satan needed someone else to kill him.

I like Snakedance as a villain for Ghost Rider, while he could use an overhaul in the appearance department, the story around him is pretty interesting, and he is a villain that the writers felt Ghost Rider needed to show power against. I don't know if this is the best of the issues so far, but it is in my top 3.
