Yinsen had already did that. The issue was that the device that was made to save him had to be powered by a massive battery which cannot be carried around all day. (I might be remembering wrong so lemme know)
Stark basically combined the tech of the arc reacter as a power source and the electromagnet to keep the shrapnel away from his organs. I'd still say that Tony's feat is overall would be better because he could make a small arc reacter out of nothing in a cave. The closest thing to be reacter in his chest was a massive machine that took a whole room was controlled using a whole line of boards.
Shuri already had tech from Wakanda that was the best in the world. We don't even know whether the technique she used to save Ross was hers or simply her ancestor or someone.
Shuri already had all the technology availaible to do it so its not really that much of a feet. I mean the technology is more impressive, but she really just had to press a button to turn it on right.
@saberscar223: @richubs: And BP deserves some credit for getting Ross to Shuri in proper condition. If there was anywhere he should have died, it was in that interrogation building.
Tony would have died in that cave once the battery ran out, or when he built the bomb they wanted. They were hired to kill him, he saved his life in more ways than one.
