    Eight years younger than Rachel and four years younger than Lynne, Marcie was born after their father Brigham moved the family out of a military settlement and basically imprisoned them in the basement of a house in a war zone. Emma eventually takes the children away to Anvard, but Marcie struggles for years with intense anxiety due to that early experience. She develops a great love of stories, writing and books; in Dream Sequence she has her own bookstore.
