    Magilla is a big, kind, naive gorilla on sale at Peebles' Pet Shop, run by Mr. Peebles, who has been trying to sell Magilla since he was just a baby. The price for Magilla Gorilla has gone down through time, because no one wanted to buy Magilla. Although he has been purchased temporarily to play on a football team, assist in robbing banks, experimentation, hunting, etc. But there was only one little girl named Ogee who really wanted him for a pet, but never really had enough money, and her parents did not allow it. In each episode of The Magilla Gorilla Show (1964), Whenever Magilla is bought, he is always returned to Mr. Peeble's shop, for various and comedic reasons.
