Monet St. Croix, also known as 'M', was originally a founding member of Generation X, later envolved with various X-Men related teams. Recently, she rejoined the newly reformed X-Corp (X-Corporation) in a main role.
I thought it was something to do with that moving back and forth that Wood/Deathstrike mentioned, but it mentioned her entire body was moving, yet in the panel only her arms are aglow.
I don't get it. I've seen various characters under PAD's control mention that Monet's power is to do whatever she puts her mind to, but I need a line drawn.
I was a bit confused as well about the movement thing (back and forth by several feet) to generate power (I guess?) for her telekinesis. I can't remember seeing her use that kind of power but then again, I was completely off about her heritage, lol. (I knew she was darker skinned and I guess St.Croix played with my essay-drained brain..)
As for the blue eyes, I agree with you. I am used to artists screwing up with that (X-23 goes from brown to blue to green all the freaking time) and even in this issue, Cortes/Deathstrike's eyes went from brown to blue as well) but Monet stayed consistently blue. :/ Very annoying. Re-introducing her into the X-Men has me excited but let's keep things on the up and up in terms of established character traits - both physical and ability-wise.
I am genuinely confused about Monet's power-set now.
I think the new writers are adding telekinesis to her power list. it was always debated...so maybe someone was just like "Let's let her have it" that's just my idea
