Lwaxana Troi is the mother of Deanna Troi, the empathic counselor from Star Trek: The Next Generation. She is also the ambassador to the Federation for their home planet, Betazed.

Lwaxana has an official title, that of which her television counter part always made sure people knew, that title is Lwaxana Troi, Daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed.

Lwaxana had 3 children, Deanna, Kestra, and an unnamed son.

Lwaxana like all Betazoids has telepathic abilities.
