Part 3 of the 4-part "Stitchglass Slide." Thole's little love nest did the trick, but the mate he's attracted is a fanged horror who sees the human boy Martin as no more than finger food. And Lucifer continues to evict immortals from his cosmos, using any means necessary.

This issue switches focus back to the Stitchglass spinner and Martin. Thole's enormous mate is about as awful as could be, abusing him and seeking to devour Martin. (Carey is drawing a parallel between Martin & his parents and Thole & his mate, although she is MUCH worse than the parents!) The previous issue's story arc (banishing immortals) re-emerges at the end of the issue.

Note: This is actually the third issue in the series without any appearance by Lucifer and instead continues to focus upon both Martin and Elaine.
