Lucha Comics is a Canadian comic book publishing imprint of The Shooting Star Press, that publishes a wide range of genres - ranges from Manga to Historical Fiction. Currently, Lucha Comics publishes digitally, but has plans to publish print products before the end of 2014.
Creators who have produced Lucha Books include Jee Chang, Sohn, James A. Bretney, Jeffery Thompson, Sasha Janowicz, and Tony McDougall.
Lucha Comics is a comic book publisher founded by Rodolfo Martinez in 2013, first producing the English translation of Boom!, an independent Korean title. The remainder of 2013 saw Lucha Comics secure agreements to distribute more titles from Korea, The UK, and the U.S. Lucha Comics now distributes on ComiXology, Amazon, Google Play, Drivethru Comics, and ComicsFix.
The Shooting Star Press
The Shooting Star Press inc. is the corporate parent of Lucha Comics. The Shooting Star Press specializes in independent comics books, graphic novels, e-books and mobile games. Its first mobile game will be released under the brand Lucha Games in Q2 2014.
Lucha Comics is the comic book & graphic novel publishing arm of The Shooting Star Press. With the tagline "Awesome, independent comics from around the world" Lucha Comics has plans to bring on creators from several countries, including Canada, U.S.A., Mexico, Pakistan, Great Britain, Australia, Russia, Korea, The Philippines, Spain, and more.
Lucha's first title was Boom!, an independent Korean graphic novel written and illustrated by Jee Chang.
