"Know that the world of dreams and nightmares is real, and that the one world is two... while the two are one in the same!" Janice, Eddie, and Tank meet the mystic that befriended Michael Savage, who unveils his own towering mirror connecting to the Ultra-Realm. He also revealed that after Michael Savage had been tortured beyond pain, he was finally successfully tempted by sex, his spirit confused and broken. Under cover of night, the seemingly frail old man released Savage from his cage, then helped carry him for three days and nights to relative safety. The old man nearly died himself from the journey to his mountain retreat, and the process of restoring Savage's physical health. Then the whispers began, teaching Savage about yin and yang, realms of light and darkness. For a year, Savage was educated about the two worlds, to banish the effects of his torture, and another nine years to "kill" Michael's ego. The man had one of the fourteen access points to the Ultra-Realm, and now guided an archetype-soul, "the psychic and physical foundation for one of the Lords..." in preparation for the dark turn of events of this very night.

The fearful, hate-filled Lords of Light demanded vengeance, forcing Savage-Falkon and the Blooded Sentinels he'd created with Scala to slay them all. Darkness overran the Ultra-Realm, and with the keep left open, Myridian and Mortanos were perilously close. The Prince of Hate claimed at least some credit for driving the Lords of Light to their fate, while the black breath of the Prince of Death sought to claim the ailing Scala. Having witnessed the bloody battle firsthand, Myridian and Mortanos decided against engaging, but with the barrier between worlds fallen, Murkon rode into the scene on a motorcycle. However, the Prince of Rage rode on, with his opposition already all but defeated. Savage-Falkon spared Scala from Mortanos' immediate touch, but the last half-prince of Light was crestfallen over the state of affairs.

It was the meeting between two of the fifteen archetype-souls on Earth, Michael Savage and Janice Portinari, that triggered this final reckoning with the Ultra-Realm. A flood of darkness had washed over the Ultra-Realm, and now threaten to drown the Earth, but the Dark Lords victory would not be complete until the overthrow of the Overlord, who had taken human form as the "Oriental" old man. As the forces of the dark ones rape, pillage, and murder the mythological denizens of the former Lightlands, the Overlord asks Michael's friends to join him in a last stand. As they stare at their reflections, the trio experience their own violent ego-deaths in the shattered mirror, them cross over.

Janice agrees to sacrifice her old life to live on as a restored Scala, as the Blooded Sentinels dissolve to rejoin with her. Back on Earth, darkness begins to overwhelm, igniting interpersonal and racial strife, leading to open conflict. All of the positive attributes embodied by the Light-Lords are absent now, leaving only Rage, Greed, War, Madness, Hate, Death, and Chaos...
