    He started his career creating a science-fiction magazine. In 1952 he joined Marten Toonder Studios and worked in Aram, Kappie, Koning Hollewijn, Panda and Tom Poes. He created a philosophical strip called Student Tijloos, then he moved to Pep Magazine and created De Argonautjes, Ambrosius, Blook, Iris, and many other comic books and newspaper strips. In the 70's he started working on children's TV shows and musicals, although he came back to the comic books to write three issues of Lucky Luke.
