    Early Life

Aeon Calcos was born a Spartan soldier during the Ottman Empire in Greece. Born June 23, 1555 Aeon became a powerful warrior in his own right. When Hephaestus became threatened by Soul Edge he chose 24 warriors and gave them enchaned weapons for the purpose of destroying the sword. Hephaestus felt that a man made sword that powerful could stain his reputation as the Greek God of the forge. Aeon received the Xi Sword and Game Shield and began his quest for his God.

    SoulCalibur 1-5

Once on his journey Aeon became lost in a vast desert and resigned himself to death. Luckily a group of desert wanderers found the dehydrated Aeon and brought him to their village where they cared for him. Aeon quickly regained his strength and began to teach the village sword fighting as a thank you for saving his life. This was not meant to be since the Evil Seed, an even caused by Soul Edge accepting Siegfried as its new host, rained down and caused Aeon to lose his mind and slaughter the entire village in rage.

While in this feral state Aeon was captured by Kunpaetku, the grand priest of the Cult order Fygul Cestemis. Aeon was used in a terrible experiment and transformed into a Lizardman, the first of many such experiments. Aeon as Lizardman was ordered to capture a boy named Bangoo and bring him to Europe. This was so Bangoo's adopted father Rock would also come to Europe where Kunpaetku would use him in their golem experiment. Lizardman would eventually accomplish this will aiding Astaroth in the search for Soul Edge.

During the battle where Kilik, Xianghua, and Maxi stormed Osterinburg Castle and Xianghua used Soul Calibur to strike down Soul Edge, Lizardman was freed from his brainwashed state thanks to Soul Calibur, but he remained in his transformed form. Lizardman hid himself from the world and went on a journey to restore his lost humanity. However upon realizing he had no place to return to, he wondered angrily why Hephaestus had not helped him in his time of need. "My god has forsaken me." he thought, before casting away the sword and shield he was given, and, bearing a Grudge Ax and Aya Shield, Lizardman decided to find Soul Edge and use it to make Hephaestus pay form forsaking him to this monstrous life.

Overtime Aeon began to lose his human mind, feelings ,and memories until he truly transformed into a monster. Other Lizardmen began to surrounding him, though thanks to his superior fighting skills Aeon was able to best them all and would eventually dominate the pack and be declared leader. As the leader of the Lizardmen, Aeon began leading them on brutal raids across the area, striking fear into travelers along the Silk Trading roads. But at night, he would have dreams revisiting the feelings and memories of being human. He didn't even know what he was anymore. All he felt was emptiness. Suddenly, he realized that he was missing his soul. As he wondered of what has become of it, another memory struck him. His soul was inside Soul Edge. He now searches for the evil sword to obtain his lost soul.

Overtime Lizrdman again grew to feel his god had forsaken him, leading him into a state of despair once again. Aeon finally fully succumb to his beastly nature and statred to walk on all fours and devour any being to cross his path. After many years Aeon began hearing a voice inside his head saying "Devour all, and your wish shall surely come true." From that moment on, the beast-man gained the power to inherit the nature of those he consumed. Each time he tasted the blood of new prey, his body and soul were transformed.Gradually he regained the power of reason. Aeon searched the faint remnants of his memory, wondering how he could regain what he had lost. But he knew the answer, He must feed on new victims. He must consume the flesh of holy warriors.

    Powers and Abilities

As a human Aeon Calcos was a noted warrior trained in ancient Spartan weaponry and fighting styles. He was chosen as one of 24 Greek warriors to destroy Soul Edge by the God Hephaestus. Once transformed into the first Lizardman, Aeon became stronger, faster, and more vicious though began losing his humanity the longer he was stuck in that form. Lizardman seems to alter his body into a few reptilian forms through his existence since in SoulCalibur Lizardman is a humanoid raptor wearing a breastplate, in SoulCalibur 3 he is a frilled neck lizard, in SoulCalibur 4 seems to be more dinosaur like, and finally in Soulcalibur 5 he is more dragon like with a pair of wings. Lizardman can apparently evolve his being by devouring the bodies of his victims, explaining his recent growth of wings and the ability to shoot fire from his mouth.
