During our discussions of FOREVER EVIL and Lex Luthor's stand against the Crime Syndicate, it was speculated that Lex would continue to rise in the ranks of being a hero (similar to what Norman Osborn did during SECRET INVASION). According to the latest news, Lex is indeed turning in his villain card and becoming a full-fledged hero.

In a report by the Associated Press, the cover to April's JUSTICE LEAGUE #30 shows the League's newest member.

"Is he going to lead the Justice League? It depends on whom you ask on the team. Certainly, he thinks he should," said series writer Geoff Johns.

Does this mean that Captain Cold is also joining the League?

It seems in the post-Forever Evil world, the lines between good and bad will become "a bit blurry." It's a different world and it just might take someone like Lex to try to keep it safe. Whether or not he can adjust to working along side the other heroes and vice versa remains to be seen.

"I think the most interesting thing is that Lex doesn't realize what it's like to be a super hero, what the life is like. You make enemies, they attack you on a personal level. And he's just Lex Luthor. He has no codename, no mask," he said. "He has to deal with the ramifications of that."

I wonder how Superman's going to react...curious if he'll even be on the team post-Forever Evil.

This could be different from Osborn in secret invasion. If Lex is trying to be an actual hero then that's a really interesting storyline. But if he's just doing it like Osborn to gain influence, then it's going to be a boring couple months.

Osborn's Dark Reign was fascinating and fun. Especially in the Dark Avengers.

This looks to be wholly different since the heroes are, obsessively, accepting Lex and bringing him into their heroic fold. Now he may have other agendas and this will all eventually blow up in his face but he is approaching the idea of, at least outwardly, going legitimate from a totally different angle than Osborn.

Post Forever Evil seems to be an interesting circumstance given that in the DC universe we always knew who the good and bad guys were. I'm definitely interested in Superman's reaction but i kind have it figured out what he is going to do. I'm also wondering if this means Luthor will be challenging Batman's intellect and vice versa, getting down to who really is the smartest person in the universe. I have always liked Lex Luthor, weather he is trying to save the world or bury civilization, I just really hope it stays in Geoff Johns hands for now, he seems to have an idea.

Ooh this could be fascinating Lex Luthor on the Justice League. Think of the possibilities and why hasn't this been done before! I hope Johns explores that "good," that Superman knows that Lex could have or might have.

Lex Luthor is joining the Justice League, now that is awesome. Wait, Are we talking about the Lex from another universe where he is the good guy? We're not. Well then. Excuse me I need a drink.

It looks like the good counterparts that were in the Injustice League are a part of Lex. From Black Adam to Shazam, Black Manta to Aquaman. By the looks of the cover Flash and Superman said, "Lex is the league? Screw this were outta here."

To be honest, I was expecting an Injustice League ongoing. I figure it be like when marvel had the Dark Avengers ongoing and had an Avengers book or two or however many there were back in that time. Still, I am curious to see what happens in Justice League.

If I had to guess, I think the public found out about Superman "killing" Doctor Light and don't trust him or they don't Trust Superman because of his dick counterpart Ultraman. I am curious to see were Geoff Johns takes this.

On a side note, If they released an Injustice League ongoing series, I would buy it.

Well Batman officially became superfluous. I was afraid this would happen; didn't expect Cold thought. To bad they won't restore his super powers.

Edit- I really hope John's doesn't make Batman let Luthor walk all over him like he did with Jordan. Will have to wait and see; also what on Earth is a non-powered Cold going to do? Amuse me no doubt. That said Green Lantern, Superman and the Flash just lost their greatest villains; up next Cheetah joins the Others and Joker leads JLU! On a more serious note, wonder what ramifications will Wonder Woman staying on the team have for SM/WW.

But seriously, this is actually a shocker for me, no kidding about that. I wouldn't have thought DC would have the stones for doing this and although part of me is screaming "WHAT THE HELL ARE DC AND THE JUSTICE LEAGUE THINKING FOR LETTING LEX LUTHOR REPLACE THE GREATEST HERO OF ALL TIME?!" another part of me realises that after Trinity War unfortunately, people have lost trust in Superman given that he seemingly 'murdered' Doctor Light. A decision I don't like but unfortunately this is the new status quo and at least this way, we get some really interesting Dark Reign esque ramifications of Lex becoming a big player in the Justice League. This should be interesting actually.

Whoa! Wha!?!?.... Damn, it seems a bit far out, but I won't make any prejudgements until I've seen it. Geoff Johns has quite a history of taking outrageous ideas and somehow making them work, he's truely a genius of a comic book writer. So I'll suspend judgement until I see where he's going with this.

Way interested! Would like how to see this goes and might lead into being a leader of a government organisation or the president but in the New 52 and see how that will all play out! Maybe... I'm just rushing my ideas out of my head.

With Lex Luthor I can never see the character becoming truly good. He'll always have an alterior motive, personal gain in mind. I mean isn't it practically Lex's dayjob to be the good guy running LexCorp? Or maybe that's changed during the New 52.

I mean deep down Lex knows whatever he's doing is wrong. His jealousy towards Superman for example is disguised as some intelligent argument that the alien is dangerous. To Lex Superman is just hogging his spotlight. Luthor is not like Sinestro who truly believes that tyrannical space cops are for the benefit of the galaxy.

That's my take on it at least.
