    Un complot ourdi par Pompée vise à faire se soulever la Gaule pour éliminer l'autre consul César... Quel meilleur stratagème que de rendre aux chefs gaulois la fameuse épée de Brennus qui arma le bras de Vercingétorix ! Pour préserver la Pax romana sur le territoire de Gaule, Alix partira à le pousruite de Garofula, l'exécuteur des oeuvres de Pompée. Une poursuite à travers toute la Gaule, malgré les rigueurs de l'hiver, sous le regard amical des loups.…

    Les Legions Perdues is remarkably different from earlier adventures of Alix, its storyline is very plausible. Pompey the Great, Caesar's rival for power, is attempting to restart the Gallic Wars and possibly destroy Caesar. As we saw in Sphinx d'Or, Vercingetorix surrendered to Caesar, ending those wars, but Alix has stumbled upon a plot to bring a Gallic relic, the Sword of Brennus to Gallic insurgents who are allied with Germans to trap Caesar.
