Legion of Super-Heroes #12
THE GOOD:
Francis Portela and Tom Derenick do the art in this issue and it's very noticeable that there are two different artist, but they draw different locations so it balances out. I really like how Francis drew all the action the took place on The Dominators' World. I like the thick lines that Tom Derenick adds to his work as well. The story is very rewarding a fun to read. The introduction of the hybrid of Dominator and Daxamite was very interesting and fun to see. Paul Levitz does a great job at juggling all of the characters that are involved in the story. Mon-El was really cool in this issue and the return of Sensor Girl was cool to see. This issue was a lot of fighting as it was very rewarding to people reading from #1.
THE BAD:
The Legionnaires left the bad guys alone. They had to because there could be a war, but sometimes you just want one of your favorite characters to hit the bad guys.
THE VERDICT: 4.5/5 (Amazing)
This was a very enjoyable issue of the Legion. If more issue were like this instead of a confusing mixture of events, more people might consider checking out a great team. Paul Levitz knows the characters and he shows that he does when he writes them, it's just finding an interesting way to use them has been proving a challenge. Great issue with great art and a great resolution to a story that has been around for a year. Highly recommended.
