Legends

History

Rip Hunter formed the legends to stop the immortal tyrant Vandal Savage against the orders of the Time Masters. The original lineup of the team included Sara Lance, Firestorm (Martin Stein & Jefferson "Jax" Jackson), the Atom, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Captain Cold and Heatwave. The teams first mission saw them travel to the 1970's to stop savage from selling a nuclear weapon, unfortunately the mission while a success resulted in Savage killing Carter hall. The legends continued to travel through out time to stop savage while also coming into conflict with the Time master who aided vandal savage in his in devours. Throughout the course of their mission the legends encountered many iconic characters throughout history such as Jonah Hex and Connor Hawk.

Eventually the Legends after being betrayed by the time masters manage to destroy the Time masters source of power which allowed them to manipulate time as a result from Leonard Snart sacrificing himself to destroy them. After the defeat of the time masters the legends make a final stand against Vandal Savage across three time periods and managed to destroy him ending their mission they set out on. In the aftermath of Savages defeat, Hawkgirl and a reincarnated Hawkman leave the legends with the remaining team setting out to protect the time stream to replace the time masters.
