The Psychotic Perspective: Legends of the Dark Knights #19
Haunted Arkham
Another week and another exciting and invigorating take on the Batman universe. Last week, Legends contained an okay issue with a modern noir feel, but it's lackluster finish made it less than ideal. Does Haunted Arkahm provide a perfect Batman story, or is this issue worse than the last?
In this issue, Maxie Zeus, an inmate of Arkham Asylum, manages to escape and target one of the therapists, Dr. Green.
Top Shelf Art
Usually, the digital exclusives tend to get artwork which is far from top dollar, but Jason's Masters' work in this issue is just as good as anything found in a full length comic. Great stuff.
Therapist = The Rapist
It appears that Dr. Green will be a villain in this story which is disappointing because evil psychiatrists/therapists is extremely cliche. Trust me, the next time you are watching a murder mystery show and see a psychiatrist, you may as well stop trying to figure it out because the therapist is the villain. It would be nice if Dr. Green turned out not to be evil because having someone actually trying to do good work at Arkham would be much more interesting than another wolf in sheep's clothing. Lord knows the inmates at Arkham need some help too.
Conclusion
It is not yet clear where the story is going, but this is a very solid beginning.
