His page states that he has one in the Batcave? How did he get it, and in what issue(s) is this shown?
Lazarus Pit
Object » Lazarus Pit appears in 144 issues.
The Lazarus Pits are mystical pools scattered across the world that can heal grievous injuries, cure incurable diseases, and even resurrect the dead. They are most commonly associated with Ra's al Ghul, who has used the pits to extend his lifespan for centuries.
Batman has a Lazarus Pit!? How?
" I don't think it's true "No it's totally true it was in Blackest Night. I'm totally drawing a blank on how he got it though.
" @Constantine said:he's got one in his utility belt lmao" I don't think it's true "No it's totally true it was in Blackest Night. I'm totally drawing a blank on how he got it though. "
Face it's batman, he gets whatever he wants

Batman/Ra's al Ghul Year:One will give you the answers you need, but it's a lackluster story so the short version from myself should be sufficent.
Bane and Batman(Birth of the Demon,Birds of Prey#26,Gotham Knights #31-35 and #47-49) destroy almost every pit,Ra's al Ghul dies at the hands of Nyssa but he leaves a letter adressed to Batman telling him that the pits are a natural part of the eco system and that Bruce was foolish in trying to eradicate them.If all the pits are eradicated then zombies will rise(yup).
So Batman had to create one in the cave,it was stupid TBH especially since Nyssa and Kobra did have the pits.
Terrible origin tale for the Lazarus Pits. For what its worth I would assessed Batman would had taken effects to study WHAT the Lazarus pits were. Batman would- in my opinion- NEVER have a Lazarus pit in his possession, after all if he DID have one as to want one, would it be practical for him to resurrect his dead parents with such an ability? No ! His parent's death gives him the relevance of life, death and consequence. To have his parents return to him would throw his very reality into question. Yet, if Batman were to own a Lazarus Pit, he would utilize it with a mercenary core in effects to countereffect its abilities. Money would put a Lazarus pit into Batman's batcave.
By any accosts, however, Batman would analyze the Lazarus Pits for their origins and ability to resurrect the dead as would other government powers.
