Kurt began working in the Binder brothers shop in 1941 illustrating features for a number of publishers. His work on Captain Marvel for Fawcett is probably his most beloved work by fans.
He went to work for D.C. in 1959. He created the definitive look of Lois Lane, and was frequently called upon to redraw her head in any comic she appeared in by another artist to help maintain the consistent distinctive look of the character.
