Does Superboy have pyrokinesis?

His simulated heat vision is basically some sort form of pyrokinesis. (Creating fire/heat with his mind) And in Superboy #4 he sets fire to that christmas tree, but seemingly just looking at, and not using his heat vision. He's powers are also psionic based, so?

Actually he should be able to have simulated heat vison plus by doing the opposite effect have freeze vision also. Invisibility should be easy as well.

Actually, no. He doesn't have pyrokinesis.

If he had then in one of his earlier missions, when he was forced to blow up the enemies HQ and afterwards was trapped in a very hot place filled with lava he wouldn't have gotten burned just by touching a hot rock.

His "heat vision" if it's even that, is no more than a different manifestation of his TK.

The same way he can use TK to amplify his senses, he seems to be able to focus and concentrate his TK and shoot something from his eyes. If its heat vision or just a type of force vision, was never confirmed or dismissed.

It could be heat vision without being pyrokinesis tough. Telekinesis isn't just the manipulation of matter but also energy. If he can focus and concentrate his TK with his eyes and for example vibrate his TK energy at great speeds, he could generate something resembling heat vision.

Agitation of molecules in front of him

Solar cells being expelled

Manipulating infrared wavelength

Those are some ways to have or mimic heat vision,KON can probably do two of them,or ATLEAST could if he knew how too.

He did burn a Christmas tree, light a camp fire, and melt some shit during forever evil,so they are kinda saying he already can do one of these.

Yeah. I mean I know that he isn't pure pyrokinetic, but he has ability to speed up molecules in front of him and simulate heat vision, so shouldn't he be also able at least simulate pyrokinesis? I'm not physicist and my english is still crappy, so i'm sorry if this will be messy, but isn't heat actually just the movement of the molecules? And like I already said he can make molecules move faster = his heat vision. If he could make molecules move fast enough he should be able to create/simulate also fire, and not just heat.

Yeah this could be how they will explain it.

Plus atleast in comic logic if he can speed up the molecules for heat than he should be able to slow them down for freeze vision, that's make believe science, but a sweet new ability for him.

Agree.

Technically yes, pyrokinesis is using psionic powers to generate or/and manipualte fire, so i say he has some sort of pyrokinesis.

No he has telekenisis. He can Simulated Heat Vision by moving the molecules of objects so fast that they catch fire.

So what is the difference between mentally controlling fire (pyrokinesis),and manipulating the infra red spectrum for a "form"of heat vision and infra red vision?
