Kismet was originally created to become the ideal mate for Adam Warlock but during their first encounter he immediately rejected her and went about his own affairs. On Earth-9997, the two were married and eventually had a child together with the aid of Mar-Vell's soul, Captain Universe and Alicia Masters. A child who would be born as a reincarnated yet, at the same time, completely different version of Mar-Vell.
