King kong returns like never before. This remake has all the classic monsterness but also adds great emotional depth and hints of horror. Kong while quite small is amazing and from his first appearance to his heart breaking end off the empire state building I was enthralled. While quite long this movie is a near perfect adaptation of Kong

First of all it looks great. The cinematography is going to get nominated for sure. The first 45 minutes to an hour is all character developement I felt it moved at a steady paced and was interested in each of the characters. Jack Black was a nice choice to play underhanded movie producer/director Carl Denholm. He plays him with just enough deviance that we do not see him as a villain.
