I like Snyder, but he's not on the top of my list of people to write Justice League. Other is a pretty broad category but that's ok because I can think of a large number of writers I'd like to see write the core book. Off the top of my head Carey, Brubaker, Millar, Straczynski, Heinberg, or Yost. I know most of those writers are doing other things, but $%&# it, I just want a Justice League I'm excited about again.
I usually like Geoff Johns but his Justice League run has been pretty mediocre and I would take pretty much anyone else over him at this point. I'm not sure if Scott Snyder is the right choice but my number one choice would be Jonathan Hickman.
Actually Johns isn't doing that bad, he's just not great and tends to make really crappy decisions. And I'm not even going to get started on how he does Batman. Right now in actually very interested in what he does with this whole lex luthor/antimonitor/Darkseid thing but after that he should go.
@jayc1324: This is a great pick, I think the closest we may ever get to it would be JLA Earth One unfortunately. My hope is that after Multiversity, Morrison will write a JL of the Multiverse.
