The only thing I can come up with for Cyborg is the monitoring duty that Martian Manhunter did Could be the reason Manhunter is no longer in the JLA Any of Cyborgs powers and gadgets are covered by the other main members of the team
Same thing with Martain Manhunter. Deadman is a ghost and Superman has that strength.
I kind of wish they they looked at Cyrborgs Teen Titan design when making his new design. His Teen Titans design was wayyy better than his original.

Yeah. I dont know Zealot but from what ive read she would seem to be an interesting addition to the team.

@Gambler: Those times he has been alongside Supes is becuase he was either on Superman's universe ort Superman has been in his universe. Plus Majestic looks pretty much like Supes.

There's really no reason why Majestic cant occupy the same Universe as Superman, like I said, its been done before. Like Dreamwar (which was canon for the WS Universe)

-Batman...meh, too armory looking...but i guess he does need it
-Superman, same as Batman, very armory looking, but also more practical, although i didn't HATE the red and blue tights, this is ok too
-Aquaman...looks the same, but i hope they amp up his powers...alot, maybe give him control of the water like Mera?

- GL looks good, although it's hard to make a BAD GL costume

if cyborgs a tech guy than he's obviouslyy not a token because they chose him for a least one other reason besides him being black

and seeing as how there have been numerous black individuals on both teams the whole "token black" thing is rendered pretty mute
well they have to give him SOMETHING to do, so he's the tech guy, but although there are many other, more qualified people that could have his spot, i'm pretty sure they chose him just to not have an all white cast, don't get me wrong, i like cyborg, and he has great potential, but i feel they just added him in to fill the minority bill
@ Stegman well we know the race card DOES come into play but imo token is only an acceptable term when the person has literally NOTHING to offer besides race. literally EVRYONE on this team could have been replaced by someone better. but in the end its just an opinon thing i guess so no worries my friend
Not impressed by this line up, basically its what you would expect Johns to make; take big name DC character, add Johns favorites, add one WS character to make Lee happy about sums it up. And they are still missing the mage character.
I'm glad to see Mera as a member of the team. Why can't Hawkman stay one ONE team DC? I like him in the Justice League but his home should and always will be in the JSA.

Well Jim Lee has said that Wildstorm has always been part of the DC Universe in this universe, so I would think it would somewhat continue from what we know of the Wildstorm universe. I would think his powers are still gone.

Is Element Woman? I didn't know that. And I know Jason would technically be a member, but that looks like Ronnie they featured in the image. If covers are to be believed, he's the one with the red costume.
But yeah, it's doing okay when it comes to gender diversity. I don't think that's the biggest number of females ever, though. Didn't Brad Meltzer's JLA relaunch have the same amount? Hell. In terms of any kind of diversity, this really doesn't seem like an improvement over what we've had before. Black Canary, Vixen and Hawkgirl instead of Mera, Element Woman and... whoever. Black Lightning instead of Cyborg. The progress here is what? Half a Firestorm? That's really not much to brag about.
Not that this is a bad lineup. It's just disappointing in a few regards.

I think it might be Firestorm (both Ronnie and Jason together). Im thinking theres more to it but we wont find out until it happens. And no. The most females on the JLA was the most recent one. It had mostly women. I think there were only three guys and five girls and one question mark. I like the team. Its an insanely strong team. Im sure Johns will do it Justice (get it?)

The problem with making this team too diverse is that this team is supposed to be the team of all of the top Super heroes in DC. Most of the iconic characters are white. In order to try to make it diverse, they took out the least iconic characters from the original line up and added different characters. I think when they were going through the characters, they had to think about which characters had to be at the top of the DCU and most of them were white. They tried to mix it up with everything else that they had. With the exception of Mera, who, I think should be on the team because she is in need of a push.
