Only reason Tower of Babel is plausible is because the tricks Batman would have employed relied on ambushes.

In a straight up fight however he looses to every single one of them.

Tower of Babel is often misunderstood by Batman fans as "Batman can solo the Justice League!" even though this is not the case and makes me wonder if they actually read the story or not

The dark knight doesn't jump into a fight he knows he can't win. Like in forever evil when batman wants to take control of Luthor's team and they all just scowl at him an catwoman tells him that they're in charge, which pretty much meant let it go lol

HAve you read the strory at least? I belive it not,since Ra's Al Ghul distorted Batman's contigency plans to use against the Justice League.

Batman's contingency plans wasn't to kill their teammatesor humiliated them. Batman planned not only looking for their physical weakness,but also sentimental and psychological ones,he have worked with them during a lifetime. He knows their breaking points,their stories,loss and victory...that's why he can be sucessful,not only knowing their phsycal weakness.

anyone can defeat him. The idea behind Bats is that prep is his strategic and tactical ability. He's regarded as the best strategic/tactical mind.

Could they plan and execute as well as him? probably not. could they defeat him? surely

offcourse all the core members of JL can defeat bats too.

@dwilson360: I know you may have heard this before. Never use anything written by Geoff Johns in forming any opinion of Batman. It is wrong. It is always wrong.

Wonder Woman beats him twice that I know of but both of those were graphic novels that might not be considered in continuity.

Superman could literally fly to Batman and tear off his head before Bruce could blink, nevertheless lift up his magical kryptonite ring.

Wonder Woman would just beat him in combat - she's too beefy, she would tank everything Bruce throws her way.

The list goes on, really. I'm all for Batman being a key member of the League and all but I don't understand when people say how Batman can take any other hero. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

Batman is human with no superhuman abilities, so it's not that hard to accomplish.

@jeremy1989: Honestly bats could probally handle most humans on the team. Any metahuman above 10tons might beat him. Any above 50 or 60 definatly. It dosent matter if they are as smart as arm fall of man. They can literally flick him off. At 100 tons he might as well pray to god because the impact of them hitting the air. But he could beat them with a year of prep. Despite popular belief metallo is a robot so technolgy is at that level

It's comics so anything could happen, but on paper every other Justice League member should destroy Batman.

Even with Kryptnie Superman should beat Batman.

Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, GL and Wonder Woman have no easily exploitable weaknesses.

It's comic books, Batman can destroy the whole Justice League with his contingencies if need be. Conversely, Superman could solo the entire multiverse, Batman included, from space with his heat vision after a sundip. Aquaman could grab any of the JL members that breathe, and swim to the bottom of an ocean with his strength to drown them, and order his Atlantean armies to engage any remaining members while he raids the Fortress and the Cave for weapons to finish off any stragglers. Every JL member is a threat to any other JL members.

All that matters is who writes the story, and if said fiction is to your liking and entertains you. :)

He can beat anyone as long as they can't attack him from far. For example, Superman. He has heat vision, super breath and senses. He can be ambushed so bats is screwed.
