Jim Lee's Redesigned Justice League Fully Revealed
Is it just me or does Aquaman basically look exactly like he always does? I can't really see any differences from past incarnations. Not that I'm complaining mind you but you'd think Jim Lee would be able to something a little different.
Superman without his red crotch bothers me. Regardless of how amazing the art is, I still have mixed feelings about all of this.
Do Superman, Aquaman and Green Lantern go to the same barbers? Cool line up for Justice League but don't like the costumes at all - why armoured? Why do pants?
ugh seriously why is everyone complaining about the armor?? it's practical!! HOW many times have we seen superman lose his powers due to kryptonite or magic or red sun? how many times have we seen people with similar speed hurt flash? how many times has Hal Jordan been in trouble thanks to his ring running out of power? the armor is there so they'll have SOME type of protection in case their powers fail them, it's called being prepared
They look alright, one thing though which Batman is that Bruce or Dick cause we saw a picture of nightwing returning in red, overall it's all nice except a few characters missin Martian Manhunter the Hawk couple and all the other backup members for the League
Sweet Jeebus people. Superman isn't wearing 'armor'. It's form-fitting for chrissake. Just because they added seams to Superman's costume doesn't mean that he's decided to attend the Tony Stark School of Superheroing.
Again, they're seams. Not plates. If you want to see armor, look at Cyborg. Cyborg is wearing armor. Superman isn't.
I'm glad they're getting away from the whole spandex/underwear on the outside design that has hampered their looks for so long. I was watching an episode of Mythbusters about superhero tropes. They insisted that one of "must-haves" for dressing up as a superhero was to wear the underwear over the pants, I cringed. Superhero comics have needed to evolve past that for a long while. Now is the time I guess.
AAAHHHHHH CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!
No, I'm joking. But, seriously, I was worried for a second there. Thought they were going to change the GL outfits to look like the movie. Phew! My man Hal looks great. Way to go Jim Lee! Loving the new looks!
@DEGRAAF: That's what I was saying. As of right now, Thomas is Batman, not Bruce. How they're going to fix that is beyond me, because in Flashpoint, Bruce and Martha died, not Thomas and Martha. So here's to hoping they can explain this away somehow by September.Obviously, they explain it by Flash correcting the timeline and restoring it to how it will be Post-Flashpoint whee Bruce is Batman.
WHERE IS THE RED CROTCH OF SUPERMAN??? I REALLY DO NOT LIKE THIS NEW COSTUME. the same for WONDER WOMAN, I preffer the classic unform
I've always liked more detail in costumes, so I like the redesigns. Plus I think the white haired woman is Miranda Shrieve. At least I hope it is.
The underwear is an outdated mechanic. Superman and Batman should've lost the underwear years ago. Wolverine has been speedo-less for over a decade and still maintains the qualities of his classic suit with no problem.
I haven't kept up in a while. Why no Martian Manhunter? I always thought of him as an integral part of the Justice League.
Also, Wonder Woman needs more gold on that design. Thankfully, nothing is ever permanent in comic books.
I'm almost convinced that the white haired chick is Zealot
@The Stegman : Let's put it like this. When I go to IHOP, I already know I'm eating pancakes. Then all of the sudden, the menu surprises me with a forkless pancake you eat like a hotdog. It has all the applications of a stack of pancakes, only it has an exoskeleton with Superman insignia and no underpants. Do you see what I mean now?
yes, and although you're used to the regular pancake, it doesn't mean the new one is bad, i say don't be afraid of change..if anything the new pancake is more practical, incase the IHOP ran out of forks you could now eat this pancake without the need of one, just as if this superman lost his powers, he wouldn't be completely vulnerable
I am absolutely intrigued with who this mystery woman is. There have been some good guesses. And I think at least one of us has it right. My first guess was Scandal Savage, which is most likely wrong because Scandal has no business here. Since then people have offered up Zealot, Black Canary, Miranda Shrieve and Element Woman. I can't wait to find out.
I'm pretty excited about pulling my first Justice League book. I think it looks great.
This is just speculatin', but I would guess the team on the left is JL: Fury and the team on the right is JL: Savage. Just putting that out there...
For what it's worth, I'm convinced that she's Scandal Savage.I am absolutely intrigued with who this mystery woman is. There have been some good guesses. And I think at least one of us has it right.
