    Hello Ray

If this issue accomplished something was to get me very interested in this Ray character with no prior knowledge whatsoever by telling an interesting origin and an entertaining story and want to read more of him althought it is not yet explained why Batman chose him for the team

Raymond is the son of the golden age hero The Ray and he inherited his powers to absorb light that ultimately killed his father so he is kept almost like a prisoner by his mom so he doesnt hurt anybody like he did to his childhood friend. One night he decided against his mom's orders to explore the neighborhood and was a bout to make friends with some people when he accidentally stepped on to the light causing an explotion and turning himself invisible and from that moment he decided to stay that way to learn to use his powers and avoid people until one day he decided to finally act and save the life of a good hearted politician

The story is told from the perspective of Ray narrating his life via writing some letters to his childhood friend he hurt but doesn't even know if he is still alive or what happened to him, this makes the story read in a very personal way and was done very good.
