Process of Change

This is not a good issue, but it is odd to see that it contains some of the first glimpses of the type of writing that would show that the medium was in the process of changing towards more mindful stories with character development at its focus. It is worth noting because the story here is somewhat ridiculous, almost as though each part of the three part issue was written by a different writer. The Justice League, plus Zatanna is drawn to Peru where a giant robot terrorizes villagers, then takes over Batman, then part of the League teleports to another planet, which is post apocalyptic and has a ripped off version of the Avengers. It doesn't work as a whole but the way in which Zatanna is handled is a bit more thoughtful than most other characters, especially in this era.
