    ****City?!

    The Good bits:

The art, probably the best part of the book these days, lines are clear, making the characters well defined (and resonably sized in some cases...) and the action is busy and visual as it can get when half the fighters are basically shadows.

    Eclipso...nuff said really :)

Zauriel makes an appearance and Manito Dawn is mentioned.

    The Bad:

I am going to put it into context and say; that when i read Donna's first box of inner thought i thought: "Not this again..."

Robinson may be quite a capable writer when it comes to clever ideas regarding overall stories and such, he may even care for Bill and Mik. But everyone else on the team are written out of character. Donna is a swearing cavewoman worthy of a red lantern ring, Dick appears to be falling for Kara, oh and Obsidian joins the darkside again. Also the JLA calls up a team of mostly non-magical reserves to fight Eclipso, only for them to immediately get possessed or beaten down.

For some reason i have the feeling Robinson was handed a bunch of characters, or picked them himself, for their looks or heritage, but then decided to write up new personalities for most of them or he simply doesn't care for established characters.

    Score: 1/5

Buy it if you like the art, Eclipso, Starman or Congoilla...otherwise you will just hurt your eyes.

Because I happen to have read NTT and Titans while it was still worth the name, I was thrown out of the experience of the book by the first inner throughts from Donna and later Dick. And I will seriously recommend for DC to have their writers undergo somekind of education about thier established characters, who they are, how they act and such so we can get rid of cases like Robinson's JLA, Wallace's Titans and Hendersons Teen Titans.

Back To Our Regularly Scheduled Story 0

Now that Doomsday has come and gone, we can get back into the Eclipso storyline. The Good Just when the anticipated Eclipso story began, it felt like the story was put on hold in order for Doomsday to come in and fight Supergirl. While we did get some awesome insight into Supergirl's character, I wanted to see what was happening with Eclipso and Emerald City. It feels like James Robinson and Brett Booth have been working together for months as the art seems to flow and capture each action scene....

Eclipso Rises, The Justice League Keeps Falling 0

After being derailed by the Reign of Doomsday crossover, the Rise of Eclipso tries to get itself back on track and is basically successful. However, regaining the story's momentum is a whole different matter.Eclipso resumes being the star of this story arc. What little narration there is in this issue is mostly his, and he certainly comes off as being a genuine threat to everyone. So far, this story arc seems to be more about elevating Eclipso's status as a villain than anything else, and James ...
