A League Divided
Once upon a time, seven Appellaxan meteors fell to Earth, carrying seven Appellexan warriors. Each Appellaxan warrior immediately began recruiting soldiers, to fight a war with the other Appellaxan warriors. The victor of this war would be named ruler of Appellax. The Appellaxan conflict drew Aquaman, the Batman, the Flash, the Green Lantern, J'onn J'onzz, the Manhunter From Mars, Superman, and Wonder Woman together. After defeating the Appellaxans, the seven heroes remained together, as the Justice League of America.

The Elongated Man is swallowed up by a fissure. The Elongated Man stretches to freedom, and renews his attack on the Flash, The Flash beats the Elongated Man into unconsciousness.
