Like an injection of pure Awesome
This is certainly the best of all brightest day runs. Not only does it keep getting better, but this one has set the mark. It's crazy how amazing this single issue is. incredible infact. If you're not reading Generation Lost, what's wrong with you.
To correct another reviewer, Captain Atom has absorbed the mass nuclear energy released by Magog last issue. As previously seen, when Nate went to a possible future with the moon missing a chunk, such an absorbtion causes him to be flung into the future in the timestream. He remains there until he regains his powers and is healed.
The Good:
Future Justice League! What an awesome incarnation. Supergirl (or superwoman maybe, or Power Girl as was kindly pointed out), Batman and Martian Manhunter, to name a few, are all just great takes on the idea. I really don't want to give away the smallest spoiler. All of these characters worked perfectly for the dystopian future they were trying to save.
The cover is badass but confusing at first.
Winick making th Omacs interesting and terrifying which was great. I previously found them a stupid idea, but he's really given them life as a genuine threat.
The pace and action in this issue was like a rocket that never stopped accelerating
Also, anyone who really digs Grant Morrison's Batman stuff will love this.
The Bad:
The possibility of never seeing this justice league again. :(
Wonder Woman aspect might harm the run in the future but is only briefly touched here.
The Verdict:
5
The perfect comic, if not better. Really pays off to anyone who's been following this. 14 issues and not a dud yet. Keep 'em coming please
