Guillermo del Toro Working On DC 'Dark Universe' Movie

I'm guessing Peter Milligan. Where did he go after launching Justice League Dark?
Moved on to Stormwatch and finishing his Hellblazer run.

Based on the characters, speculation is that the movie will be based on the Alan Moore Swamp Thing story where Constantine started so other possible characters are Phantom Stranger, Dr Fate, Dr Occult, Sargon the Sorcerer, Baron Winters : http://www.comics.org/issue/41601/cover/4/
This news is really cool. Del Toro is the perfect guy to work on a JLD movie, as evidenced by his Hellboy films. I only hope that this project actually gets off the ground. Del Toro has a reputation for attaching his name to far more projects than he can handle.
As far as a writer goes, I'm sure they won't even consider using Lemire, but they really should. His work on the book would translate very well to live action.

@zackattack529: An american Constantine???Seriously????
Dude,the world is not only about America you know,isn't enough that you already americanized Wonder Woman(she wears the american flag and the eagle as her suit)?
Dude, not only did you knot comprehend my comment, you also took a piece of it and perverted the statement into something that wasn't my intention
All my comment meant was I wanted Keanu Reeves back to reprise his role.
so whatever you are going on about is pointless, especially the wonder woman thing dude lol
so calm down.
@zackattack529:
Yeah,you said you wanted Keanu Reeves because he made a good american Constantine.
Anyway,I didn't mean to yell or something,all I'm saying is that Keanu Reeves was a bad choice for the role of Constantine.
I believe(me and many others actually) that Paul Bettany is the perfect one for the role and it would be better to see him than Keanu Reeves..

Thanks! I had wondered after reading several of Lemire's issues of JLD.
I love big G's work, but I really hope he gets Hellboy III in the bag before Ronny gets too old to do the role.
I think this could be really good. I'm quite new to comics, but I've been really enjoying Justice League Dark from the start. Anyone got any thoughts on casting?
I kind of feel like Matt King(Super Hans from Peep Show) could make a good John Constantine, but I've only read JLD and a handful of issues of Hellblazer, so I am totally willing to be told that I'm wrong.

@sethysquare: I don't have any problem comprehending your posts. You just said Mike Mignola is a nobody. One of the most idiotic things I've ever read in my entire life.
well, he is compared to del toro. and that is no way for a small time artist to go around throwing a respected film maker under the bus.

Seriously? Now you're going to start nitpicking typos?
Didn't Del Toro originally want to make a solo Deadman movie? Regardless, I would love to see a film like this with him behind it and a writer he apparently is very confidant with.
David Tennant as John Constantine!
