It had been years since the icons of the DC Universe had served on the Justice League together. In a 3 issue mini series, Justice League: A Midsummer's Nightmare, writers Mark Waid and Fabian Nicieza and artists Jeff Johnson and Darick Robertson pitted DC's big seven heroes (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman) against the reality-warping powers of Dr Destiny and his manipulator Know Man.
A precursor to the following year's JLA ongoing series, A Midsummer's Nightmare not only saw the return of major characters to DC's premier team, but was also one of the first major DC titles to feature enhanced computer effects.
