    The Justice League battles a team of "Sparkers" sent by the mysterious figure, who is the mastermind behind Doctor Destiny. The Martian Manhunter, still enraged by the deception of his dream paradise, is having none of it. He quickly ends the fight, and then uses Green Lantern to find where Destiny is held prisoner.

    The team finds Destiny tied up, either monitoring, or creating, a slew of different realities. Thankful to the Justice League for rescue, he tells them he was promised his dreams, from the mastermind - a being known as Know Man!

    Together again, the Justice League faces a cadre of "Sparks". One is Diana's former student. Just as they are about to fully engage in battle, J'onn shuts them down psychically. He then probes Kyle's mind to see that Destiny is being held prisoner in Butte, Montana. There, they are confronted by Know Man; who reveals his true identity and the purpose to his plan.The whole point of Know Man's plan is to prepare Earth and humans for coming event.
