The war's fisrt battle
Right from the start I have to say the solicitation lies as we don't discover the secret of Superwoman's baby neither we see Batman's last temptation nor Superman vs Luthor; thoseplot threats had me very excited and not seeing anything about them made me lower this issue's grade
The issue begins with the introduction of Mister Miracle and a monologue by Wonder Woman which were great, from there we get to watch the JL investigating a murder case which was cool, specially Flash's parts since it looks like that he doesnt get to do much in the series, and meanwhile, Superman, Luthor and Cold deal with the aftermath of the Amazo virus, with Cold stealing the scene with his comments
From there the book quickly transform into pure action sequences with Mister Miracle getting into big trouble before he could warn the League, Grail making her presentation to the JL before leaving out of combat some, and badly injured some other, and it looks like Superman and Luthor will have a bad day too.
It was a good start to the storyline, however, the introduction pages of Mister Miracle and WW followed by heavy action scenes made it feel that nothing happened and so much happened at the same time; but not be mistaken, next issue will be BIG
