    Glad I read it!

    Opening Statements:

After giving up this title around Issue #11, my friend that still reads it, as well as a few others, informed me about the upcoming Trinity Wars story Arc that peaked my interest. So, I'm back to reading it. I'm glad I did! My reviews follow the same basic set up: What Went Down, which is the summary, and the Review part.

What Went Down (Some spoilers and the Unbiased part)

The DC universe is currently going through the prologue to set up the newest event, the Trinity War. The Trinity War will officially begin with Issue #22 of the Justice League with all out war between the Justice League, Justice League Dark, and Justice League of America.

In the Tower: The Awesome Show Down

Chapter 2 of the prologue showed us the newest members of the Justice League, Firestorm, The Atom (Rhonda Pineda), and Element Woman teaming up for the first time against Despero, Martian Manhunter's brother and one of the Justice League's Classic Mega-villains. Easily defeating all three of them, Martian Man hunter, previously thought to have left the solar system, turns up just in time to defeat him, only seen by the semi-conscious Atom whom he tells not to let anyone know he was there.

In the Batcave: The Emotional Break Down

While the newest members of the team are in the Watch Tower fighting, the rest of the league is unable to assist due to the minor issue of the Watch Tower crashing to earth. Wonder Woman goes to stop it because they learned Despero had the kryptonite ring that was stolen from the Batcave. That is why the three were meeting secretly in the first place; someone had bypassed all of the Batcave security to get it. That meant someone knew Bruce's identity and Superman's weakness. That is the definition of "PANIC!" when it comes to the league. Superman had given Batman the Kryptonite to Batman to stop him if he ever needed to be. Batman also reveals boxes with each Leaguer's name with a way to stop them if ever needed. He reveals the reason he is not happy with Superman and Wonder Woman's relationship is because Superman IS the only one who would be able to stop her, and now that they are involved it will but Superman in the hot seat should that day ever come. Batman continues to tell him that if he ever needs to be stopped, then Superman is also the one to stop him.

In Amanda Waller's Office: The 'plot twist' throw down

The Atom gets a phone call and goes to Amanda Waller's office of all people. Atom is revealed to be a spy for her in the Justice League, however she is not happy with it. She has grown to like the league and appeals to be taken off the team, even willing to give up her powers. However Waller hints at something big about to happen.

    The Review Part:

"New Meet Coming through" (Mean Girls):

I like these newbies. Element Woman makes me laugh and I have mad respect for Firestorm. The new Atom intrigues me and now I might go back and read the other issues with her to see more of a background. All three characters seem to have good depth and characterization that really pulled me into the story. That is my main complaint with current comics: Many are lacking in Characterization or Inconstancy. So I will continue to read and hope this is good. Also it was an AMAZING fight scene. They worked well together, despite losing, and you can tell they work well in a team.

"I'd hate to wake up some morning and find out that you weren't you." (Invasion of the Body Snatchers)

In case you haven't read my other reviews, I am EXTREMELY torn between my thoughts on the New 52. On one hand I love the idea of a redo-button and re-inventing everyone, but on the other hand I miss what made me love these characters so much. So I refer to everyone as Pre-52 or New-52, however some characterizations seem just so wrong of the iconic characters (Re: Batman reacting not like the Batman I love which makes me super mad and I just can't get into his titles anymore).

This new Superman I REALLY did not like at first, way too emo and we have WAY too many depressed superheroes. But his characterization is finally starting to stabilize and I enjoyed seeing all three of them similar to the Pre-52 days.

"How come when something happens it's always you three?" (Harry Potter, HPB):

No, but seriously though; Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman are the greatest. I love their friendship from the Pre-52, but I've always been pretty weary of them dating each other. Batman and Wonder Woman I liked a little, but I was still unsure and now I am skeptical about Superman and Wonder Woman. But it is finally coming together AND I LOVE IT!! It was nice seeing them being awesome together

"I love you brozilla." (I Love you Man):

The Superman/ Batman moment was great. I love the way it was written! Superman giving the Kriptonite to Batman because he trusts him and Batman trusting Superman to stop him if he needs to be? I wanted to just start singing "Guy love" from scrubs! They are my favorite Bromance (in comics) and I like seeing their Brolationship take off. On a slightly off-topic note, I'm CRAZY EXCITED for the new Superman/Batman team up comics.

"She Doesn't even go here." (Mean Girls):

Not having read the previous few issues, Suicide Squad, or Justice League of America, I was surprised by the Atom being a spy. Whether or not you saw it coming, you have to love it. Amanda Waller has steadily been an honorable mention on my favorite comic character list and I am very interested in seeing what is going to happen next.

    Bringing it all Together

    The Good:

The plot and action were very evenly paced with the different things going on, and the perfect humor thrown it. Amazing art too!

    Best Moments:

    • The Atom revelation
    • Despero tearing Firestorm apart
    • Batman/Superman bromance

    The Bad:

Martian Manhunter showing up really throw me off. Like, what happened? No explanation, he defeated his brother in a snap, and then left. Alright buddy. It was just choppy and off to me, as well as feeling out of place.

    Worst Moments:

    • The Martian Manhunter thing.

    In Conclusion

I liked it. 4/5 stars. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Since this series started the New 52 it's been nothing short of amazing, and although it may have had the odd blip along the way, it's always been fun, and unique, and well worth the purchase. With Trinity War creeping ever so closer I really look forward to seeing what's in store for the Justice League, and what causes them to clash with the Justice League of America, and Justice League Dark.PlotAfter getting food for the Justice League, Element Woman returns to the Justice League Watchtower to...
