Deep Water
Justice League is suppose to be the flagship book for DC. When it launched it had Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on the book. It was the first book to launch the new 52. While it is a good book, and always has been, it wasn't the Earth shattering major book it wanted or DC wanted it to be.
Thankfully this storyline has re-engerized the series. Picking up from last time, Aquaman has Batman by the throat, Orm assumes Aquaman is king and is ordering him to kill, Gotham is slowing submerging in water.
To save Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman go in for the attack. Unfortunately for Wonder Woman, Orm is a little too strong for her, and puts her into a water tornado thing. Since Wonder Woman is his new squeeze, Superman goes in for the save, and starts to boil the ocean. That seems reasonable.
This angers all of Atlantis and they rise out of the water, attack and defeat the three members of Justice League.
While that is happening Cyborg is on the satellite with Vulko, tracking down Dr Shin, as he might be the biggest asset to stop all of this. Cyborg actually gets into some action this time, and sets up for a few new upgrades. The ending is something that is similarly happening in Avengers, but should be interesting.
I like the fact that Cyborg is actually getting to do something for once, and looks like he will be taking over leadership with the other core Justice League out of action. He seemed like the forgotten member for a lot of issues of this book.
In the backup story we finally see Shazam and Black Adam fight.
This is the first Justice League story arc that I've really enjoyed since the first one. It seems like they are finally getting the epic giant storyline that this book was always suppose to have. Can't wait for the continuation next in Aquaman.
