Its not perfect, but this issue is the first block to the future 0

You can't have a civil war without build up. Tension between the North and south existed since even before 1775.What Geoff was doing with Graves wasn't to make a lasting villain, but create the first spark. it created the tension on the team that would lead to a splitThe tension in the team that being attacked by their ghosts and fears is a good way to start. Also, the Kiss. If you read to the end, you see why that has importance. Its not the romance that is important, its the fact that it looks ...

    It'll shatter 0

After having previously dropped this series I came back to it for this issue for obvious reasons.  A a Wonder Woman fan I am pretty much opposed to the romantic pairing of Wonder Woman and Superman and pretty much for the reasons shown here.  The lead up to their kiss and presumed start of their romance contained some pretty forced and unrealistic dialogue, which made the moment even harder to swallow.  Before this the first half is the cliche of the spirit/ghost/evil entity that appears to the ...

Clear Cut story with a WOW moment that makes sense! 0

Art - I am speechless - Jim Lee. Period!Story (contains spoilers):A very good flowing story that kept me on the edge. Finally the villain's true colors and roots are revealed. Geoff Johns seems to have done some good research on Indian mythological demons called the Asuras and Pretas (pronounced as Praythaas)... Graves has the justice league, who in the wake of Trevor's death, pitted against their worst nightmares and a very unexpected revelation brings things to a halt. The super team is now at...

The future of the DCU looks dark…but promising as hell 0

The issue that marks the first 12 issues of this series and the new 52 has shown lots of promise. Not only for the title itself but this week has turned the DCU into a way more interesting place than ever before. The issue starts with the media mutating into marvel universe civilians as they are already bashing our heroes after watching the clips of the fight between wonder woman and green lantern….without knowing what happened….they could easily say wonder woman was mind controlled or something,...

An Important, and Suprisingly Good Issue 0

It feels like Geoff Johns saves all the good stuff the the last issues of his arcs. This issue showcases the League working with each other against an enemy, and that's something that's been getting better in this series. I'm loving the way Johns isn't involving Batman physically in the fights. I love Batman, but I've always doubted that he could stand next to Superman fighting Darkseid and hold his own. Batman is the stragist for the League, which makes sense because he's not as physically stro...

THE GOOD:   There are tons of artist on this book and you can see that there is a little difference between pages but everything still looks really good. They have top artist come in and the result is a great looking book. The way they draw the characters and the action makes this book fun to look at. The story is continuing on from the previous issue. Wonder Woman is being attacked by Graves because she has never felt loss. This is where Steve Trevor comes in but the Justice League saves the d...

Supes and Wondy sitting in a tree 0

The fight against David Graves is not the best part of the issue; the best part is what happens afterwards. Lots of character development and teasers of things to come. I'll vote for Aquaman as leader of the team! Please check my mini-review of Justice League #12 here:http://bit.ly/O1GKzjComments and feedback are always welcome!Gallery ...

The Kiss That Shook The World 0

Justice League has finally put a huge stamp on itself saying that it is stepping up to the standard it should be. I have loved this series since the start but it has been lacking in certain bits, but this issue is just simply a brilliant way to end the year and is one of my favourite issue 12's. Brilliant writing from Johns yet again and beautiful art from Jim Lee who is one of my favourite artist's of all time. This issue we see how the world is not seeing the Justice League as the hero's that t...

Eh, how was this cover nominated for Best Comic Covers of the week? It's just too simple, Superman and Wonder Woman at... and odd angle presumably to make it appear that they're filling more space than they actually are, a sunset that makes the horizon just about invisible creating a very empty background, and the kiss. Every time I take a quick glance at this cover, for a second it appears Superman's got a mullet again because his hair blends right in with Wonder Woman's. And they don't look li...

    Stinker 1

Has Johns lost it? This book is perfect for a third grader, but is you have an ounce of maturity it feels like you are being talk down to the whole time. And the kiss was not original or even well done. DC's top talent my a$$.My full review here:http://inveteratemediajunkies.com/2012/08/31/imj-capsule-reviews-all-new-comic-book-reviews-for-the-week-of-8-29-12/...

    The Power Couple Kissing 0

Review:We continue where the last issue left off and although I wasn't quite satisfied on how the battle ended between the Justice League and Graves, I was happy it was finally over because this arc kinda dragged for me. Even though they defeated Graves, the public are beginning to have second thoughts on the League, question their actions and at some cases fear them thinking that their not the so called heroes the public thought up to be. This is the part I liked because in reality this is how ...
