It was with the self published, horror anthology series Cry for Dawn that Linsner first came to the wider notice of the comic book community with its bold and shocking story-lines and always stunning cover art by Linsner himself.

Those covers always featured the mysterious, tear streaked red head known as Dawn. She has since gone on to have 3 of her own series of comics and appeared on covers of the Crypt of Dawn anthology. Dawns story was started in the 6 part volume 'Lucifer's Halo' and carried on in 'Return of the Goddess' and 'Three Tiers' as well as 2010's Dawn one-shot 'Not To Touch The Earth'

In 2003 he collaborated with Mike Dubisch on 'A Vampire's Christmas' where he explored another of his older creations the vampire Tobias Esque's views on life and consumerism in modern-day Manhattan. Esque had stories in Crypt of & Cry for Dawn previously.

More recently, he has been working on the 6 issue mini-series for Dynamite: Dawn & Vampirella. December 2013 saw the first and long-awaited release of the one-shot for image comics 'Sin Boldly'. Starring his characters Sinful Suzi and Obsidian Stone. He has done covers featuring Conan, Red Sonja, Killraven, and many others. He has created the cover art and interiors for both Wolverine and Black Cat 'Claws' (1 & 2) and his own creation Dark Ivory, a modern vampire tale.

The high quality of his artwork means he is often called upon to do cover art for many different publishers, series and authors.
