When the Joker became an anti- Batman of sorts, using derivatives of Batman's technology to rescue crooks in trouble for a cut of their loot, one of his most prominent gadgets was the Jokermobile. The Jokermobile appeared as little more than a customized car. When Batman and Robin were captured by the Joker, and the Joker escaped in the Batmobile, Batman and Robin ended up using the Jokermobile to catch up to him. In another instance, Batman and Robin broke into the Jokermobile and installed a miniature microphone. They eavesdropped on the Joker to obtain information about various crimes.

A later appearance of the Jokermobile included a large springloaded boxing glove in the trunk.

When Animal Man traversed Comic Book Limbo, the Jokermobile was seen, derelict.

According to Harley Quinn, Joker had retired the car around the time they started dating, claiming to be all done with such an embarrassing vehicle. She persuaded him to take her for one last spin in it, but a couple of teenagers laughed at it. After killing them, Joker locked the car in the loading dock, promising "never again".

In the later epsiode "Death Race to Oblivion!", the Joker and his Jokermobile are among the super vehicles participating a death race being controlled by Mongul. Following destroying the Huntress' motorcycle, she bursts one of the mobile's tires with her crossbow, causing it to crash.
