What if DC revealed the Joker's real name was Joe Chill, the man who killed Bruce's parents making him Batman.

It wouldn't do well with me on the grounds that I honestly believe the Joker is closer to Bruce in age, rather than much older.

This is kinda a strange idea. I mean there are a couple flaws with it.
1.Joker would be far older than Batman which is actually what the Tim Burton movie sugests but in that movie he is called Jack Napier
2.Joe Chill got caught and didn't turn out to be the Joker.
3.Joe Chill is a petty thief ; Joker is a criminal mastermind.
    4. Their faces look nothing alike.

I've always thought the Joker seemed younger. Maybe it's because he sometimes (mostly in the animated series) acts like a psychopathic five-year-old.
That is the worst idea. Ever! My mom thought that was the origin of the Joker and I bitch and ranted about how he couldn't possibly be Joe Chill. He'd be too old.

All that really needs to be said is the Joker is estimated to be about the same age as Bruce (39 years).

Jack Napier has always been another one of his aliases.  I have never heard of one single solid "CONFIRMED" coming up about that name.

As for the idea of Joe Chill, no.

The problem is that, well, we'll NEVER know the origins of The Joker.  Seriously, no matter what you do, it's anti-climactic at this point.  If he turns out to be someone from Bruce's past that he has never considered, it would be worthless and unoriginal.  If it happens to just be some guy that wanted to screw with Batman, it would be like "eh, whatever".

Overall, the reason that Joker is such a good villain is because no one knows diddly about him.  If you gave any of that away, it would just destroy it.

Joker forces a jokerfied Joe Chill to kill an innocent family .
Joker forces a jokerfied Joe Chill to kill an innocent family .

Joe Chill is at least 20 years older than batman, and in Batman Endgame it is implied that Joe Chill regretted killing Martha and Thomas Wayne (see image). Also, it would just be a stupid cliche.

Didn't Batman kinda tracked down and nearly killed Joe? I assume the Joker is active at this time, so unless Joker can go back to"normal" and then Joker again, which he can't, then it's not possible, also, let's say he can, why didn't he fight back? Also, i think DC will always keep the Joker's pass a puzzle of self contradictory and unreliable flashbacks as he said "If i'm to have a past, i preffer multiple option"

A better storyline- Joe Chill was Bruce Wayne's Father, who had an affair with Martha and the Murder was the result of Jealousy, and actually would make sense as to why he didn't kill Bruce.

A more screwed up storyline-Joe Chill is actually Bruce Wayne from the future.

A better storyline- Joe Chill was a Green Latern, under orders to ensure that Batman came to be.

A Better Storyline- Joe Chill Was the Flash's Uncle. Batman kills the Flash, then commits suicide.

A Better Storyline- Joe Chill was Stan Lee's Jealous Brother, who wanted to create Batman, because he would be a better character than any Marvel Character.

A Better Storyline-Batman falls in love and has a kid with Joe Chill's Daughter. The Child kills Batman.

A Better Storyline- The Joker has nothing to do with Joe Chill at all.

Such a story utterly butchers the intent of Joker, and the significance that he holds to the Dark Night.
