I really like the Joker character. Do you? If so, why?

I like the Joker because he's actually funny. He can get you laughing at things that would normally be violent and unsavory. I don't like the idea of mass murder, but I enjoy his banter and wit. I'm also interested in how clever this character is portrayed as being; he's a lot like Batman in that he seems to be a one-man terrorist organization. Also, the Joker might actually be insane, which means that he's not really a villain, just a really sick man that no one knows how to cure.
