    He is so deformed that whenever someone looks at his face, he or she instantly dies or goes cataconic or something.
     
    Should he be able to kill any living being with eyes?

    And Spectre is a ghost so that's why it didn't work on him. I'd love to know the limits of it.
     
    I wonder it it'll work on an emotional entity: ION, Parallax etc.

    I love him, he's one of my favorites.

    The effects of his face seem to be like casting a spell or exposing those around him to malignant energy more than just looking at him. Although looking directly at him does increase the effect, even being near it and not looking is a bad idea..
