    Biography (Film)

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

Joey Crusel was one of the teens being stalked by Freddy Krueger who was imprisoned in Westin Hills. Joey was a former athlete and debate club member who had been struck mute after an intense nightmare involving Krueger. Joey had an extremely high sex drive and was constantly spying on the nurses and female inmates. Krueger used this weakness of his to seduce him by taking the form of a nurse and then "tongue-tying" him (literally) over a portal to Hell. Krueger used him as collateral to lure the others into a confrontation. Joey would have been killed if he had not discovered his dream power, which involved screaming loud enough to shatter glass. He seemed to be particularly good friends with Kincaid and Will.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master

Joey appears briefly in the film, having re-integrated into a normal high school life. He is incredibly annoyed with being sucked into Kristen's dreams to protect her, although he is more understanding than Kincaid. When Krueger returns, he takes the form of a mermaid, and seduces Joey before drowning him inside his water-bed with the wisecrack "How's this for a Wet Dream?".

Joey's spirit was slated to appear in Freddy's Dead the Final Nightmare, along with Kincaid and Taryn. He would have been addressed as "Sound Cop". This subplot was scrapped.

    Comics
