Jocelyn Boisvert was born in the Estrie region of Quebec. After a detour in theater and studies in screenwriting and literature, he devoted himself full-time to writing novels for teenagers. His bibliography includes more than forty titles which have earned him several distinctions, including the Victor-Martyn-Lynch-Staunton Prize, an award given by the Canada Council for the Arts to a mid-career Canadian writer. Since he collaborated in his youth with the cartoonist Marc Delafontaine on various projects, the writer cherishes the dream of scripting comic strips, the 9th art allowing him to make the bridge between his two great passions: literature and the movie theater. Well, it's done with the new series Mort et déterre, a free adaptation of one of his novels published by Soulières publisher (finalist for the Governor General's Prize). The author currently resides in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, a Quebec archipelago located in the heart of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, neighboring the islands of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon.
