    Overview:
     
    When the Earth is suddenly stolen from its orbit and transported into a massive alien craft, the Justice League quickly begins an investigation to discover the identity of the culprit and his scheme. Earth's greatest heroes quickly learn that an eons-old race of scientists on the verge of extinction have acquired a plethora of planets in the hopes of creating a world for them to exist in once they have died. Realizing that these aliens consider the planets that they are manipulating as insignificant, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, and the Atom must find a way to save the many different worlds while aiding the godlike race in their quest for an afterlife.

    Heaven's Ladder and the meaning of life 0

    This comic is EPIC!  Who better to team up then writer extraordinaire Mark Waid (likely has written your favorite superhero at some time), with the master of epic scenes Bryan Hitch (The Ultimates).  Those two alone make the price of admission worth it.  This comic never stops with the moments of Aw. On a superficial level this comic is an epic battle of Good Guys (The JLA) saying the universe. On another level this is a visual essay on the meaning of life.  I love how Waid hides such meanin...
