From The Longbox : JLA # 37
The book starts out with an incredible save. The last issues cliffhanger had Huntress blasted unprotected into space. It continues as Superman announces he will take care of the General.
In the meantime Prometheus finds his way into the Oracles hide out. Tells her he could easily kill her, but decides to give her a chance by offering to program a helmet to let her walk again.
The queen bee is taking over New York, as batman and Plastic Man try to stop herFor some reason, Lex Luthor is remaining in the shadows.
Absolutely the bread and butter here is the dialogue between Prometheus and Barbara Gordon. It is only a couple of pages long, but it is intense and creepy. Most of the book is pure action, but to Morrisons credit, he gives us both a very exciting book, and one that advances the story pretty well.
Howard porter once again shows a great skill in controlling, yet showing great chaos. The battle between Superman and The general is appropriately bloody, but purple colored blood definitely helped skirt past that
Over all this is a very exciting issue, and it makes me curious to go further into the story. Good show.
