After the demonstrations of the Hyperclan's powers (bringing back life to the Sahaara's desert) a new agenda of the team begins. They instantly build three towers arising from the ground in Antartica, the Pacific Ocean and the desert the Gobi desert. This increases the suspicions of JLA's towards the new protectors of Earth.

The JLA go for direct assault against the members of Hyperclan in three teams: Green Lantern, Flash and J'onn against Zenturion, Zum and Armek, Wonder Woman (who meets Aquaman) against Fluxus and Tronix, and Superman and Batman (whose plane crashed and was apparently dead) against A-Mortal, Primaid, Tronix. The the exception of Batman, Wally West and Kyle Rayner the JLA is held captive of the Hyperclan.
